Last week sixteen freshly minted entrepreneurs have moved into the accelerator as we kicked-off our 13th program. For the next 100 days, these founders are going to work hard to take their startups to the next level. With these new companies, Axel Springer Plug and Play has now surpassed the 100-investment mark. To celebrate this accordingly and to properly welcome the new members of our accelerator family, we gathered all new teams, alumni founders, and supporters from our networks on Wednesday night at the iconic Axel Springer Journalist Club.
With the continued growth of our accelerator family comes an even larger alumni network of entrepreneurs who have participated in our accelerator programs. This ASPnP alumni group now exceeds 250 founders! It is a network which plays an increasingly important part in our process of acceleration and has therefore become a valuable resource to startups in the current batch. With every new program, the probability increases that one of our alumni founders has solved a specific challenge faced by a new entrepreneur in the program.
We are trying to make use of this principle through events like our “Tech Stammtisch” where developers from portfolio companies gather to exchange ideas and share learnings. We believe that enabling better connections between the entrepreneurs in our network helps us to achieve our main objective as an accelerator: To make our portfolio companies more successful.
And now please meet the newest members of the ASPnP family:

Moreover, motivation is increased through comprehensive statistics and gamification features.

TalentSpace is a marketplace for employee referrals, that enables anyone to get their dream job regardless of the size of their existing network. Employee referrals are the best recruiting channel, yet employees’ and job seekers’ opportunities for giving and receiving a referral are limited by the size of their existing networks. TalentSpace flips this inefficient traditional model by connecting job seekers with insiders at their dream companies.
